Jewelry Entertainment Presents Cultural Therapy

Cultural Therapy was founded in 2006 by Jewelzdagod in Los Angeles California and still going strong moving locations from Hollywood California to finally finding a home at Kaos Network in Leimert Park. Then extended to Bushwick in NYC. This event helped raise funds for Savedarfur, raised funds to assist the Leimert Park area to lead in its own gentrification. Other causes such as Doctors without borders benefited from proceeds from this event.

Many many artists took the initiative to be the change from Killah Priest to Medusa, to Kabar(5 footaz), Aloe Blacc, and many many more local acts participated to make this ongoing event a success. In 2010 the Cultural Therapy mixtape was released by JewelryEntertainment which was a vibrant collaboration of most of the artists who performed at the event. This mixtape can be listened to for free on the "Listen" page.

Artists have always taken the lead to change the world, like Michael Jackson(Heal The World), Common has his own staple Common Ground as well as KRS-1 with The Temple Of Hip Hop which helps communities in their city. Whenever an artist can give back its truly a precious offering as we see Bono from U2 doing activism all over the world. Jay Z building wells in Africa and so on.

There will be an open mic from 8pm -9pm all poets, singers and public speakers are welcome. The goal is to leave the crowd empowered after each Cultural Therapy. Special guest performances.
